The Almoners Townhouse, A Taj Hotel

The Almoners Townhouse at St James’ Court in Westminster, has officially launched its newly renovated ‘premium’ rooms as part of a multi-million pound refurbishment.

The Taj Hotel chain has a commitment to ‘reinventing tradition’, and this renovation complements the “English Classics, Reinvented” series they have been running.MUR-3 webThe award-winning interior designers, Dexter Moren Associates, alongside interior design consultant Sue Freeman, have been carrying out the project, working to create a beautiful balance between the historic design features and a fresh contemporary finish.

To get this look a number of BCFA members were chosen as main suppliers for this project including; Grohe, Ena Shaw ContractUlster Carpets and Heathfield & CoUntitled-2 webTaj’s historic design features marry with a bold, contemporary finish, reminiscent of a modern townhouse. The use of pale hues accentuates the abundance of natural light, giving the new rooms and suites a bright and airy feel that ultimately creates a light and welcoming environment.

The areas boast ample space and a variety of earthy and soothing colour pallets which draw inspiration from the surrounding meandering cityscape, evident in the decorative bespoke maps that are suspended throughout.MUR-5 web Neutral tones and cleverly-crafted light installations in the entrance lobby and hall with a sophisticated appeal, resembling an archetypal arcade. Showcasing simple paneling, elegant edges and steady trimmings, these rooms are quintessential gateways to the luxurious offerings synonymous with St. James’ Court.
