We were extremely busy at this years Clerkenwell Design Week – with an incredible number of BCFA members showcasing their latest products, presenting and even some hands on experiences! Whilst Design Insider set out to video and interview members, The rest of the BCFA team set out to ensure we popped in to say hello to our members and even managed to take some fantastic pictures of the show-casing products.
We will be featuring some of the products you see below on Design Insider so keep your eyes peeled…
Our first stop was Elite, office furniture. We came across some stunning ranges, including ‘The Hangout’ (second image below), in which we considered tempting our MD for one for the office! The vibrant colours and beautiful fabrics would make any office environment grasp a homely element.
We then moved on to the Milliken Showroom, in which we walked into a talk on the stunning ‘Artistic Liberties’ collections, inspired by punk and local street art (see below). We were taken aback by the beautiful prints and colours within the flooring. The colours were embedded by a spray-can technique which stitched together flamboyant compositions to highlight the inspiration behind the product.
The Edge showroom featured some amazing products in which we experienced the comfort and convenience of. It was an inviting showroom and we were catered to very well. One of our favourite pieces was the ‘Natta’ (see image below), with a unique fabric suitable for any ‘breakout’ or meeting point.
We had a great time at the Camira showroom, going through some of the latest collections in which we will featuring on Design Insider in the upcoming weeks. With some amazing fabric collections in a range of colours, and some incredible displays. Camira now have a new showroom located on Britton Street.
ege Carpets showcased their Industrial Landscape collection designed by Industry all rounder, Tom Dixon. We got an eyeful of the products displayed in the showroom and were blown away by the contrasting print. The images below display ‘Blur’ and ‘Smoke’. We had a great time at Gresham with a personal walk around the showroom testing out all of the latest products from the office furnishing company. The display of the chairs was simple yet sophisticated, showcasing the importance of each product. We also loved the idea of the skittles in the table, definitely a way to lure us in!
It was great to pop along to the stand of one of the newest members of the BCFA. Amtico had a stunning flooring sample in their stand to showcase their latest product. The inspiration behind the product was displayed in a unique way (see image below). It was great to our new members getting involved!
We were highly impressed by the way Knightsbridge made use of their stand at Clerkenwell. The logo on the wall was extremely eye-catchy and the products were located in prime areas. There was a running theme on the stand, and the inspiration behind the products.
We also spotted BCFA members Nomique showcasing a range of their products on their stand. We loved the contrasting prints on the chairs, and the way the colour co-ordination blended in from the walls to the products.
